This website is an archive of a multidisciplinary art practice, making sensory work that is often a political response to place, space, history and community, expressed mainly in the forms of large scale sculpture, audiovisual installation, and public realm intervention. It documents a long-term collaboration with a sound artist as louie+jesse, as well as collaborations with performers and activists. A core interest is the interplay between personal body and external space, including the negotiation and subversion of built and planned environments by maleable organic forms. Texture has often been the starting point in this materials-based experimental practice, where process is key. The pieces were made and experienced through kinaesthetic and tactile responses.
From 2008, this practice developed through residencies and experimental research projects focused on local materials and communities across Europe. From 2017-2023 I took a career break as a full-time parent. In the last few years I have been training in ceramics and refocusing my practice closer to home. Still with an emphasis on material experimentation and sensory responses, these days I am making mostly ceramics and video.
